The Easiest Fluffy Slime Recipe (With Just a Few Ingredients!)
There’s just something about fluffy slime.
Maybe it’s the cloud-like texture. Or the soft stretch. Or the squish. Or the fact that it looks like unicorn frosting in a bowl. Whatever it is, we love it around here.
This is the kind of activity that toddlers and big kids will happily play with for ages (and yes, it feels just as fun for grown-ups too).

We made a soft lavender-colored batch this week and honestly… it turned out SO dreamy.
If you’re looking for a calm, cozy craft that keeps little hands busy and feels kind of magical? Fluffy slime is your new best friend.

Things we love about this slime:
- It’s easy enough for toddlers (with help!)
- It feels AMAZING in your hands
- You only need a few basic ingredients
- It keeps well in a sealed container for several days
We also loved that this was a perfect calm-down activity. Something about the texture is just really soothing. Like stress ball meets art project.
If you’ve never made fluffy slime before, this is a great place to start.

How to make it:
- Start by pouring 1 cup of glue into a bowl. Add your food coloring and give it a good stir.
- Squirt in your shaving foam – about 2 to 3 cups. The more you add, the fluffier it gets!
- Mix it gently until it’s all soft and pastel and cloud-like.
- Add the baking soda and stir again.
- Now slowly add the saline solution, 1 tablespoon at a time. It should start pulling away from the bowl and forming a soft ball.
- Get in there with your hands and knead it for a few minutes. It might be sticky at first – just keep going! If it’s too sticky, add a few more drops of saline.
And that’s it. A soft, pillowy, stretchy little dream.
FAQ
Can I use white glue or does it have to be clear?
Either works! White glue makes it more opaque and pastel. Clear glue makes it slightly glossier. Both turn out great with shaving foam.
My slime is too sticky. What should I do?
Add a few extra drops of saline and knead a bit longer. It almost always comes together with a bit of patience.
Can I store it?
Yep! Keep it in an airtight container or zip bag and it should last for several days. If it gets sticky again, just knead in a tiny bit more saline.
What age is this good for?
We’ve done this with toddlers (2.5+) with help, but it’s especially fun for preschoolers and up. Always supervise, and make sure your littles don’t put it in their mouths.
Happy slime-making!
