Best Books for Stay at Home Moms that Will Inspire You

Finding Time to Read as a Busy Mom

I know how hard it can be to find time to read. Between taking care of your little one(s), managing the household, and trying to squeeze in some self-care, it often feels like there just aren’t enough hours in the day. It’s a full-time job to be a stay-at-home mom! But reading is so important for relaxing our mental health, and personal growth. So, I’ve found that making it a priority has had a really positive impact on my life! In this post, I will share the best books for stay at home moms.

Tips to Make More Time to Read

One of the best times to sneak in some reading time is when your little one is napping. I know, the temptation to tackle the never-ending household chores is strong. But try to do a few quick tasks on your to-do list first, and then give yourself a 30-minute reading break!

Another great option is to listen to audiobooks. Most books are available in audio format these days, which means you can “read” while you’re out for a walk with the stroller, running errands, or even just doing the dishes. It’s a fantastic way to multitask and fit more reading into your day.

It’s so easy to get sucked into mindless scrolling on social media. I get it. But did you know that reading a good book is actually way better for our mental health? Instead of picking up your phone every time you have a free moment, why not try picking up a book instead? Reading is such a wonderful way to keep our brains active and healthy and boost our emotional and mental health!

I also love taking my daughter to the library or bookstore – it’s a fun activity we can do together, and when I see all the books and read where they are about, it keeps me motivated to make time to read!

Most importantly, don’t be too hard on yourself. As moms, we’re already doing so much. Don’t be afraid to let the dishes or laundry wait sometimes so you can curl up with a good book! Your kids will appreciate having a mom who makes time for the things she loves.
